I am originally from Lexington where I attended Lafayette High School. While at Lafayette during my senior year of volleyball, my team was the first Lexington team to win a game in state and move to the second round. Also, during my senior year of club, I was a part of building a new club that was called BAVA (Bluegrass Area Volleyball Association) which is now known as TEVA.
I continued my volleyball career and academics at the University of Louisville starting in 2003. Unfortunately I tore my ACL just before my freshman season and I red shirted. After rehabbing for an entire year I came back and played two solid years before tearing my other ACL ending my career at UofL in 2006. I was a proud member of the volleyball team that accomplished: 4 conference titles, 4 NCAA appearances, 2 Sweet Sixteen?s, and being ranked 6th in the nation. During the 2007 season I served as a ?Student Coach? still helping the program and starting my coaching career.
In 2007 I coached at Presentation Academy and also my first season of club here at MAVA. I assisted Tom Recktenwald coaching the 15 elite. In 2008 I moved to Sacred Heart Academy assisting on the varsity level, and presently still coach there. In the past three years while at SHA I have been a part of: 1 District Championship team, 2 Regional Championship teams, and 2 State Runner-ups. I have also coached MAVA?s 13 elite for the past 2 seasons.
This club season I would like to take a break from coaching and focus on skill development with Stephanie Marsh and Jennifer Hoffman and serve as MAVA?s Recruiting Coordinator. I am 100% dedicated to helping players play at the next level, as well as communicating with college coaches.
