Calhoun, Rebbin, & Tharp Make AVCA Phenom List

Sydney Calhoun and Jennifer Rebbin of 16-Select and Lauren Tharp of 14-Select were recently honored as members of the AVCA Phenom List and invited to attend the AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program held in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Volleyball National Championship December 18-21 in Oklahoma City.  The AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program invites student-athletes from the AVCA Phemon list and their families to attend educational sessions, the Under Armour High School All-America Match, NCAA Volleyball matches, interact with AVCA Collegiate All-Americans, undergo Volleyball Performance Index testing, and participate in the AVCA Fall Girls’ Showcase, during which the athletes will demonstrate their skills in front of 100+ college coaches in attendance.  The event is designed to prepare and educate participants and their parents about playing volleyball at the collegiate level.  Congrats to these Sydney, Jennifer, and Lauren!

Mattheu & Rebbin Earns AAU Academic All-America

McKenzie Mattheu of 15-Select and Jennifer Rebbin of 16-Select were selected as recipients of the 2014 AAU Volleyball Academic All American Award.  Created in 2013, the award recognizes athletes of the AAU Volleyball program for their excellence in academics as well as athletics.  All recipients attended high school during the 2013-2014 school year and participated in the 41st AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, FL.  Selections were made from nominations received during the event.  Congrats McKenzie and Jennifer!
