Abbey Breit
Head Coach

Abby played for MAVA from it's inception, and graduated from Presentation Academy in 2004.  She played for Jacksonville State University (D-I) where She was a first team Academic All-American, 3-time Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year, 2-time OVC Athlete of the Year, and 4-time All-OVC 1st team selection.  Abbey still holds the school record for total kills and kills per game.  She has been coaching at MAVA since 2012.  She also previously coached for 5 years at her alma mater Presentation Academy, 2 years as JV head coach and 3 years as Varsity head coach. Abbey was named KVCA Region 7 Coach of the Year in 2014. After obtaining her PharmD in 2013, She completed her residency at University of Louisville Hospital and is now currently a clinical pharmacist at Floyd Memorial Hospital.

As always, She is incredibly happy to be back "home" at MAVA and thankful for the opportunity to give back to the program that gave her so much.

Ellie (Roberson) Puckett 
Head Coach

A lifelong lover of Volleyball, Ellie (Roberson) Puckett has extensive experience on and off the court. Ellie started her club volleyball career at 8 years old playing for Louisville Starz which later became MAVA. Finishing her club career at KIVA from 14s to 18s, Ellie went on to play for Morehead State University. She led the team to 3 Conference Championships and one appearance in the NCAA. Ellie dominated the conference leading in kills both her Junior and Senior year while also leading in hitting %. Ellie was named OVC Female Athlete of the Year, OVC Volleyball Player of the Year, National Player of the Week, and All American honorable mention. During her career she coached lessons and clinics and has continued to give lessons on and off for the past 5 years. Ellie is the Commercialization Director for EnterpriseCorp, which assists tech startups in advancing their companies. This is her debut season as Head Coach for MAVA.
