Laura has spent a lot of time at MAVA as a parent and team coordinator while her daughter played here for many years. She has worked with St. Raphael and Barret Traditional Middle School Volleyball programs. Laura has been the Head Varsity Coach at Eastern High School for the last 5 years. Eastern won the Jefferson County Public Schools tournament in 2013, 2014, and 2017 under her leadership. She is excited to be back at MAVA as Head Coach of 15 Elite.
Nick started at the age of 19 coaching at Christian Academy of Indiana as the JV assistant coach. After CAI, he became the interim head coach at Meade County High School, setting new records. Continuing to coach after Meade county, he became the head coach of Henryville High School, winning conference, while being named “Coach of the Year” for conference. He is currently the Freshman head coach at Sacred Heart Academy. After coaching at Meade County, he began club as the head coach of 16-2 regional at Prodigy Volleyball in Southern Indiana, winning gold in multiple tournaments throughout the season. Following Prodigy, he pursued coaching at MAVA as the 15-3 Tiger head coach.
Tracie J. Frist, originally from New Brighton, PA, attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania from 1993-1997 where she played Division II Softball as a Third Baseman. She graduated in May of 1997 with a BS Degree in Communications with a Minor in Business. While living in New Paris, OH she coached at National Trail Middle School for their Volleyball Program from 1998-2001. She and her husband, Gregg, moved to Louisville, KY in May 2005 with their two children.
She started coaching in the Louisville area for the Volleyball Club, ELE in
October of 2006. The following Club Season, ELE merged with MAVA, and Tracie has been coaching at MAVA since October 2007. Since coaching at MAVA she also accepted the position at Christian Academy Middle School, as Director of their Volleyball Program & Coach, from June 2009 to October of 2013.
Tracie has coached on many levels for MAVA mainly at the 10U, 11U and 12U age groups. Tracie is a paraprofessional coach, working as a Private
Banking Relationship Manager at Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company since October 2005. She and her husband have two children, Gregory, age 18, a Freshman at the University of Louisville, and daughter, Torrie, age 12, a 6th grader at Mt. Washington Middle School. When this family is not in a gym, they enjoy their weekends at their houseboat on Rough River Lake.

Success: Dedication, Determination, Desire, Drive & Discipline and tries to instill and teach those qualities in every athlete she has the opportunity to coach!
